Full description of the position

Job Title: Director Wholesale/Wireless Sales
Location(s): Everstream Market
Position Summary:
The Sales Director will oversee the company’s carrier wholesale & wireless units, focusing on revenue growth, addition of new telecom carriers, and maintaining current clients. The Director will actively lead a solutions-based sales team and the Wholesale/Wireless sales support team (deal desk) to sell National & Regional Telecommunications Carriers on-net or near-net to Evestream’s approximate 27,000 route miles of owned lit and dark fiber network to meet and exceed assigned team quota. The Director is responsible for directing and overseeing the execution of the sales team. The Director will create a company standard of vendor and client workflow, specifically related to managing the influx of daily quoting opportunities. The Director will review and manage the ROI on all opportunities to ensure they are meeting the defined corporate objectives. They will assist the sales staff in running comprehensive discovery meetings, presenting detailed solutions/proposals as well as demonstrating the Everstream differentiators. They will be required to provide accurate and timely forecasts and reports as required.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Go to Market Strategy
    • Lead a team of 6 Account Directors and the manager of the Wholesale/Wireless Support team.
    • Strategy, collaboration, organizational development, and leadership of the Wholesale and Wireless segments.
    • Direct the sales team where time, activity, and proactive sales effort should be placed increasing the probability of success.
    • Team selling initiatives to develop customer relationships and drive sales of Dark Fiber, Lit Service Connectivity, Data Center Colocation, Infrastructure (Wireline and Wireless backhaul) and Cloud Based Services.
    • Ability to develop a regional brand awareness program in concert with Marketing to increase Everstream awareness and brand recognition.
    • Ability to measure, track and adjust proactive sales activity metrics at an individual sales rep level.
  • Business Acumen
    • Ability to offer executive support and interaction with C-level contacts within sales opportunities.
    • Ensuring that all sales meet the defined financial model to deliver solutions that meet customer expectations while delivering positive financial results to Everstream.
    • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with supporting departmental personnel (OSP, NOC, Finance, Etc.) to improve the customer experience.
  • Personnel Development
    • Leverage Salesforce.com for sales activity (prospecting effort, appointments, funnel growth and sales).
    • Appointment coaching to identify opportunities for improvement in the execution of the defined sales process.
    • Ability to develop individual activity plans to properly build and support a 30-60-90 and 90+ Day Funnel to deliver consistent sales results.
    • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly coaching.
Requirements:
  • 7 to 10 years of selling and telecom sales experience
  • 3 to 5 years of sales management experience
  • Experience working within the Wireless and Wholesale verticals.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge and understanding of optical networking (Ethernet, Internet, Dark Fiber)
  • Sales experience in a technology sales position
  • Understanding of data center and cloud back-up and recovery
  • Documentation of sustained sales results leading a team
