Hot Shop/Gallery Assistant
We are a glass art gallery and hot shop, specializing in the making and selling of finely crafted art glass. We're looking for a multi-talented person to assist our customers with the selection and purchase of our artists' work, describe the glass blowing process while the artists are at work, as well as assist with maintaining a clean and organized workspace on the production side. This position involves some muscular work. Since we are in a tourism town, the applicant must be able to work weekends and most holidays.

Some college

Able to lift 50 pounds

Able to climb a step ladder

Good aesthetic sense

Computer/internet skills

Good hand skills

Hot Shop Responsibilities:

Charging the glass furnace

Prepping color

Cold working

Maintaining a clean and organized work area

Gallery Responsibilities:

Customer service

Sales

Display and restock the gallery

Pack and ship purchases

Track inventory of supplies and art

Web site maintenance

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
