Position Summary
The Cell & Gene Therapy TSS will be a highly motivated individual with proven field sales or FAS experience within the Life Sciences industry. They are responsible for direct selling activities of BioIVT products and services within their region delivering annual revenue targets and focusing on establishing new and existing client relationships.
The TSS for CGT at BioIVT is critical to the success and member of the global CGT TSS team. Reporting directly into the Director, CGT TSS, this role will actively manage funnel opportunities for near-term revenue gains and develop new opportunities to build a strong a pipeline for future growth, while maintaining current business relationships and organic growth.
Remotely based in the greater Boston region, this role will interact with customers through face-to-face meetings, teleconferences, and email communications.
Responsibilities
- Hunts for new opportunities within assigned territory, leveraging product portfolio to build a foundation for long term growth
- Drives existing funnel of opportunities to accelerate closure rates
- Develops a territory plan and works independently on daily activities to meet the plan goals
- Utilizes intelligence-based prospecting to identify new potential opportunities
- Acts on marketing-qualified leads, quickly converting to new opportunities
- Qualifies prospects to justify the time and resource investment
- Owns the Salesforce.com entry process, including management of technical meetings to accurately forecast sales activities
- Establishes and builds relationships with key decision-makers, identifying the technical buyers
- Aids in development of technical solution-matching for complex opportunities
- Acts as trusted advisor for key contacts within an account and brings in technical experts as needed to advance the solution process
- Consults with internal planning stake holders on obtaining customer forecasts for new and existing base business
- Represents the CGT business unit at knowledge-based seminars and customer experience workshops
- Maintains and enhances technical knowledge on assigned product lines, company literature, and competitive products
- Keeps abreast of competitive products to counter customer objectives or preferences for competitor products

Requirements
- MS or PhD in a life science discipline required
- Requires a minimum of 5 years field sales or FAS experience in life sciences, biotech, or pharma company
- Proven track record growing revenue in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or CRO/CDMO sectors
- Demonstrated ability to work in a matrixed sales environment
- Network of key contacts relevant for progressing business in the Cell & Gene Therapy industry
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required, savvy using all Microsoft products
- Ability to interface effectively at all levels of an organization
- Shows sound judgment, tact and diplomacy when dealing with internal and external customers
- Able to handle confidential and proprietary information with sensitivity
- Must possess self-motivation, enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and perform as a team player
- Sales savvy:
- Effectively balances the demands of travel to on-site customer meetings and conferences with daily online inquires from customers and other BioIVT stakeholders
- Disciplined and organized with daily, weekly, monthly planning
- Able to keep pace with a rapidly growing organization, bias for action
- Emotional intelligence and maturity to navigate complex situations
