The SCEO will play a critical role in enabling the success of our transformation programs by focusing on the “people side” of change. Unlocking the full potential of our organizational objectives and realizing the intended business benefits of our transformation starts with our people performing at their best. That’s where you come in. As a Strategic Change Enablement Manager, you will focus on guiding internal and external stakeholders through change to ensure we achieve our desired business outcomes. This could include changes to business processes, systems, tools, and technology. You will apply a human-centered design mindset to partner with our business and technology sponsors and various end user stakeholders to drive adoption, advocacy, education, and ultimately an amazing customer, supplier, and associate experience.

A Day in the Life
As the Strategic Change Enablement Manager, a typical day might include the following activities:
- Meet with VP of Strategic Change Enablement to prioritize SCEO portfolio and ensure resources are allocated appropriately
- Conduct a Strategic Change Diagnostic session with business/technology leaders to diagnose change impacts for a new platform launch
- Review work product for another SCEO team member and meet to discuss feedback and provide coaching
- Facilitate a future state journey mapping session to diagnose impacts on end users across a variety of scenarios
- Meet one-on-one with business function leaders to ensure they are equipped and empowered to sponsor an upcoming transformation program
- Present updates on SCEO project portfolio to transformation leaders and executive sponsors
- Participate in regular SCEO team meetings to share project updates as well as change enablement best practices, tips and tricks
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop strong knowledge base and network of strategic relationships across each UNFI business function supported
- Provide oversight of portfolio of high priority, high impact transformation programs to enable user adoption, minimize change resistance and achieve business outcomes
- Support workflow of SCEO program portfolio including project intake, scoping, resource allocation, execution and stakeholder management
- Design and execute a range of change management deliverables including (but not limited to):
- Define & Manage Change Plan: Conduct change impact estimator, develop organizational case for change and create change adoption strategy
- Assess the Stakeholder Landscape: Identify key internal and external stakeholder groups/individuals, conduct change impact assessment and design communications strategy
- Align the Organization: Conduct as-is and future state organizational structure and develop mapping to achieve future state structure and skills/capability levels
- Create Awareness & Understanding: Lead design, development, delivery, and management of communications strategies and plans and support project/program team engagement activities
- Facilitate Learning Program: Develop learning strategy to maximize end user adoption and design/execute training program including tracking and reporting
- Measure Progress & Sustain: Design and deploy business/end-user readiness interventions such as pulse surveys, focus groups and stakeholder discussions and facilitate post go-live lessons learned activities such as Retrospectives and KPI measurement and tracking
- Participate in the design and facilitation of strategic planning sessions, workshops, and stakeholder interviews
- Successfully coordinate with supporting “dotted line” resources to ensure clarity of roles & responsibilities and quality/timeliness of deliverables
- Provide oversight and guidance to SCEO team members including review and approval of deliverables, providing feedback on improvement, and supporting development goals
Desired Qualifications
Education/ Certifications:
- BS degree in Business Management, Organizational Development, IT, HR or other related field. MBA a plus.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in a role delivering enterprise-wide or global change management programs
Knowledge:
- Strong expertise in organizational change management frameworks; certification in Prosci or other industry leading OCM organizations preferred
- Expert proficiency utilizing MS Office applications, especially MS PPT and MS Excel
- Proficiency with survey platforms such as Qualtrics, Survey Monkey, Mentimeter, etc.
- Proficiency with e-learning design & development using platform such as Articulate Rise, Adobe Captivate, etc.
- Awareness of design thinking concepts including journey mapping, personas and CX/UX
Skills/ Abilities:
- Flexible and adaptable to learning and applying new ways of working and innovation
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Develop collaborative relationships with key business partners in a strategic and authentic way
- Confidently learn new technology and/or data and analytics platforms
- Maintain focus and exercise judgement amidst ambiguous conditions
- Display agility and flexibility under rapidly changing business environment
- Willingness and proficiency leading multiple concurrent projects, prioritizing, and communicating appropriately
- Influence key business partners, stakeholders, and leaders to support the success of initiatives (especially when lacking direct reporting authority)
- Design and deliver presentations to audiences at all levels, including senior leadership
- Oversight and collaboration with third party vendors
- Experience or familiarity with wholesale distribution or manufacturing environment a plus
- Estimated travel 10% or less
