Lead Retail Sales Associate in Omaha, NE
The primary purpose of this position is to provide leadership to ensure customer satisfaction by creating a friendly retail environment and assisting customers. The Lead Retail Sales Associate, a full time position, responsibilities include leading customer service, driving sales, supporting the cashiers, merchandising and closing the store as scheduled.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
- Help drive sales and profitability of the stores;
- Conduct store closing duties including completing Day End reports, ensure customers, donors, employees and volunteers have exited the building and it is secure;
- Ensure that staff provides each customer with outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, assisting them in locating merchandise and all other aspects of customer service;
- Organize goods and materials in all departments at the ReStore as necessary to maintain an attractive merchandising layout and meet or exceed safety standards. Assist in daily store operations as assigned by the ReStore management team;
- Assist with loading and unloading merchandise into customer vehicles and/or ReStore vehicles;
- Promote Habitat to the community through positive interactions with donors and customers and volunteers;
- Demonstrate and maintain current product knowledge as well as general mission information pertaining to the ReStore and Habitat for Humanity;
- Operate cash register as necessary and provide overrides, as requested by cashiers;
- Maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, volunteers and Habitat homeowners;
- Provide customer feedback to ReStore management;
- Provide lead CSA assistance to any ReStore location as designated by management;
- Any other duties as assigned by ReStore Manager or Chief Retail Officer.
EXPERIENCE, ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School graduate or GED equivalent.
- Outstanding interpersonal communication skills with varied audiences.
- Two years of experience operating a cash register.
- Goal-oriented, success driven, professional, outgoing and self-starting.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a retail team environment.
- Must be customer service oriented.
- General math skills.
- Ability to operate necessary store/office equipment.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Physical demands:
This is a very active position that involves:
- Continual walking, talking, listening;
- Standing for at least 2-3 consecutive hours;
- May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching and climbing ladders;
- Operate necessary store/office equipment;
- Lifting 35 lbs. frequently, with or without assistance.
