REGIONAL SALES ENGINEER

About Us: Numerous years of experience in the development and manufacture of safety clutches, servo couplings and safety brakes, designed for a wide variety of applications, has made Mayr a market leader for quality drive components relied on by machine manufacturers worldwide.

We are currently seeking a Regional Sales Engineer to join our team in Mahwah, NJ.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Directly responsible for all sales activities within assigned territory.
• Establish customer rapport and acceptance.
• Interact with territory sales representatives providing technical support and marketing assistance, periodically visiting same on an as needed basis.
• Prepare and give technical presentations to explain to customers how the products and services work.
• Communicate with the sales team to understand consumer demands and offer sales support where necessary.
• Interface directly with customers and engineers, providing engineering assistance, preparing, and having prepared required proposal drawings and calculations.
• Provide follow-up, in conjunction with sales representative, on specific inquiries, and orders within assigned territories.
• Communicate with the sales team to understand consumer demands and offer sales support where necessary.
• Interact internally with the Inside Sales Department to handle any questions and/or problems with incoming inquiries and orders.
• Assist Purchasing Department and Machine Shop with technical questions relating to special projects within assigned territory, and act as liaison between customer and/or sales representative and our parent company regarding price, delivery, and technical information on special products or those not normally stocked by the company.
• Plan for modifications to products to meet consumer demands.
• Help clients to solve problems with product usage. Recommend new and improved products to the customers and explain how the equipment will be more cost-effective.
• Potential to earn up to $10,000 bonus annually for reaching performance based milestones.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Engineering or technical degree and 3-5 years of experience in industrial sales with engineering-oriented products.
• Fully computer literate.
• Self-motivated, independent worker.
• Strong communication skills.
• This position requires approximately 30% travel.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
