A bit about the company:

Bay Area Title is a title and settlement company founded in 2001, with offices in Portland and Augusta.

We conduct title searches and provide settlement services for residential and commercial purchases and refinances; simply, we make sure that all the required conditions are satisfied to finalize a sale of and/or loan on real property (land and buildings/improvements situated thereon). We are also an agent for certain title insurance companies and issue title insurance policies to buyers and lenders on their behalf.

Bay Area Title recently underwent a change of ownership; the company has always stressed a thorough approach, and we aim to maintain that and build on it by streamlining and modernizing the business, including a rebrand and revamped marketing/sales efforts.

Your role in the company:

Title: Director of Sales & Marketing/Closer, Portland office

Responsibilities:

▪ As Director of Sales & Marketing:

The focus here is connecting and establishing relationships with current and potential clients. You’ll be asked to:

• Represent Bay Area Title at industry events (networking events, seminars, etc.)
• Take clients to lunch, drinks, coffee, golf, etc.
• Manage social media accounts.
• Generate email blasts.
• Whatever else you think will help generate sales.

▪ As a closer:

• You’ll sit down with buyers/borrowers, sellers, real estate brokers and loan officers and make sure that all purchase and loan documents are properly explained and executed. Once everything is signed, you’ll distribute copies and checks to those at the table.
• The closing is a great marketing tool for us as well – a good, smooth closing goes a long way in the eyes of our clients.
• If you don’t have experience, we’ll prepare you by doing mock closings and having you sit in on real closings, and we won’t ask you to start doing them until you feel ready.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Portland, ME: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• sales in the industry: 1 year (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

• 25% (Preferred)
