Inventory Sales, an EFC International company, is looking for an Outside Sales Representative to join the team at our Affton, MO location. The Outside Sales Representative will develop, maintain, and grow assigned territory by selling fasteners and specialty components to Industrial and Distribution customers. Excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively are essential skills. Knowledge of P21 and CRM systems are a plus but training will be provided. The Outside Sales Representative will also be responsible for:
- Manage, support, and retain customers through the development of strong relationships with key decision makers within an organization, including purchasing, engineering, management, manufacturing, scheduling/logistics and quality departments.
- Travel throughout assigned territory to call on, develop and grow with current and prospective customers.
- Communicate effectively with current and prospective customers utilizing emails, text messages, phone calls and virtual meetings to develop strong relationships, promote EFC/ISC products, quote/win new business and resolve open issues.
- Proactively conducts strategic account reviews with assigned customers on a regular basis to review the services or products needed in alignment with business goals.
- Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads/cold calls and contact these customers to meet business goals.
- Promote EFC and ISC product offerings utilizing samples, catalogs, flyers/brochures, PPT presentations and other team members, as needed.
- Provide technical product support and information regarding the engineered product solutions EFC/ISC offers for customer applications.
- Understand and communicate the features and benefits of key products and supply partner product line offerings.
- Provide customer with input to correct design defects, obtain desired cost reductions, achieve enhanced functionality and performance in applications. Engage other EFC and ISC team members, as needed for support.
- Works with customers and suppliers to test design and trial product in application through simulation or prototype-builds to validate and assure product quality and/or design specifications meet application requirements.
- Interact with Inside Sales, NBD, Sourcing, Purchasing and Quality departments to quote, win and keep business, respond to customer and cost initiatives and address quality concerns.
- Understand and utilize CRM, P21, and other systems as appropriate.
- Prepare call reports and submit expense reports in a timely manner.
- Work with inside sales team members to ensure account activities and literature are up to date.
- Follow policies, guidelines, processes, work instructions and procedures.
- Possess and follow behavioral competencies and necessary skills to achieve overall company desired results and expectations.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, P21 and Contact Management systems. Training will be provided in P21 and CRM as needed.

This job can require moderate to extensive travel, particularly significant amounts of driving and occasional air travel.
