Job Description
Your Role As a HealthStreamer
Position Summary
The Manager, Business Development will manage, and hire, an 8 to 12-person team of outbound Business Development Representatives. This team will assist us in our efforts to generate interest, develop leads, and increase market share for the company. In conjunction with sales leadership, marketing and product management, the Manager of Business Development will be responsible for ensuring the team is generating, developing, and qualifying new leads for the sales organization through telephone, email and product launch campaigns. In addition, this person will be responsible for establishing and monitoring business development KPIs to be provided to sales and marketing leadership on a regular basis ensuring the team is achieving a target number of qualified leads each month/year, as set forth by sales leadership.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Managing, coaching, and leading a team of business development representatives providing motivation and feedback to maximize productivity while developing members for sales roles within the company.
Participating on calls with the team as required providing hands-on coaching
Ensuring lead follow up, development and qualification.
Working with sales leadership and sales operations to ensure effective use of the tools and processes currently in place.
Working with sales leadership to establish and achieve lead generation goals, including reporting on these goals regularly.
Ensuring team is competent in the products they represent.
What You Will Need to be Successful
Education, Experience and Knowledge Required
Bachelor's degree in related field or related experience.
1+ years sales management experience preferred.
3+ years of successful sales experience, in a technology company preferred.
Experience leading a cold calling and/or lead generation team.
Healthcare experience preferred.
Previous Salesforce.com or other CRM experience preferred.
High level of integrity and professionalism, properly setting expectations
Comfortable with working independently in an empowering, fast paced, results oriented culture
Leadership qualities to serve as a team player, but willing to take responsibility and accountability. Shares success with team members.
