Arcosa Marine is searching for a Composites Sales Engineer for our Paducah, KY plant. The Composites Sales Engineer will manage sales across all composites product offerings and served markets and will have responsibility for developing and growing new target accounts while servicing existing accounts; ensuring Arcosa and its brands are viewed as leaders in innovation and reliability within the marine market.


Arcosa Marine is a Louisiana-based company specializing in Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) covering systems for the railroad, marine and wastewater treatment industries. Arcosa Marine is the leading manufacturer of barge covers for use on the inland river system and for ocean-going applications (both lift off and rolling style) and rail car covers for gondola cars, coil cars and hopper cars. With an eye toward the future, we continue to explore new applications for our fiberglass products.


What You’ll Do:

  • Work with the Arcosa Marine leadership team to establish go to market strategies and sales targets
  • Create a sales plan to deliver results needed to achieve sales volume targets
  • Review and respond to requests for proposals (RFPs)
  • Work with customers and Engineering Procurement Companies (EPCs) to develop solutions and address their composite/fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) needs
  • Design and provide accurate costing estimates for custom and non-standard projects
  • Manage project delivery schedules and coordinate with customers to arrange timely pick up and payment
  • Coordinate sales activity with Plant Managers
  • Make sales visits to customer locations and job sites
  • Explore alternative materials and work with cross functional teams to evaluate alternative designs and processes to improve the safety, quality, or performance of our products and equipment
  • Explore new and adjacent markets that allow us to leverage our supply chain and manufacturing capacity to expand and grow our business while maintain our core product market leading position
  • Participate in Industry, Regional, and National organizations as directed to complement marketing and innovation efforts

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering required - Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Aeronautical or Naval Architect and Marine Engineering concentrations
  • FE and PE certifications preferred
  • Minimum of five years of high-level Technical Sales and Marketing or Technical Sales Manager role or equivalent in education, training and work history required
  • Broad knowledge of structural and fabrication processes with a focus on composites preferred
  • General business knowledge and an understanding of composite properties and applications
  • Knowledge of construction and repair processes, including phases of project delivery from conception to completion
  • Ability to analyze and compare technical data and specifications
  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills required
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Travel without restrictions
