We are seeking a Compliance Specialist II or III for a role at Alpha Property Management's Burbank office. Alpha Property Management manages approximately 2500 units of conventional and affordable multifamily housing throughout California.
Position Overview:
The Compliance Specialist is required to apply the 4350.3 Procedures outlined by Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), as well as Tax Credit Allocation Committee (TCAC) guidelines. This position is responsible for conducting Annual Contracts (Re-certifications), Interims (adjustments in between the year) and move-ins / move-outs. The Compliance Specialist II/III creates monthly Enterprise Income Verification (EIV) reports for HUD, review tenant rents, and maintain all resident files as outlined by HUD and Company standards and procedures.
Qualifications
- At least three years of affordable housing experience is required
- Tax Credit experience is preferred
- English/Spanish bilingual is preferred
- Computer/technical skills (i.e., Basic knowledge of computer programs, Proficient with Microsoft Office, Tech-savvy, etc.)
- Yardi experience is preferred
- Must have good customer service skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Must ensure that all annual contract / recertifications are done and completed on or before the effective date for each assigned property
- Maintain and ensure that tenant files are complete, organized, and up to date
- Review EIV reports to make sure information is up to date
- Create and distribute the EIV acknowledgement report monthly as well as the annual recertification tickler
- Process move-outs in a complete and timely manner
- Review tenant statements / receipts for managers
- Interact with tenants in a timely manner on the phone and via email
- Ensure that all interims / adjustments in between the year are processed in a timely manner
- Inform tenant of all rent changes
- Scan, file, and upload bond reports
- Conduct file review prior to Management and Compliance Review
- Additional duties as assigned verbally or in writing
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position doesn’t have supervisory responsibilities.

Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
