SUMMARY:
The Claim Representative II is responsible for claim consulting and management service to clients including escalated claims issues, carrier relationships and auditing of the claim handling process as well as the overall agency loss financials.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Client Service/Relations: Effectively provide senior claim advocacy service to clients as assigned; provide effective communication to internal agency staff, as needed, on risk management or complex coverage issues; oversee the commercial property and casualty losses for the agency; facilitate effective claim meetings with clients, prospect and carriers in order to meet the needs of the clients.
- Carrier Relations: Develop and maintain positive relationships with insurance carrier partners; and facilitate effective claim meetings with carriers in order to resolve claims appropriately for clients.
- Workers Compensation: Assist in the analysis of Workers Compensation historical loss data in order to assist with management of Workers Compensation process.
- Systems/Procedures/Administrative Duties: Maintain agency operating system with the required claim information; inform internal staff on claim issues as necessary; and assist clients and agency personnel with the development of claim reports analysis as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 5 years of commercial insurance experience in claims or underwriting
- Strong multi-line commercial insurance knowledge and technical understanding of all coverage forms.
- Ability to read and analyze diverse coverage forms and provide guidance to staff members.
- Must be a self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective time manager.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Windows, Internet Explorer and other web based professional insurance products, including but not limited to, Mod Master, IRMI, NCCI, and ISO.
- Proficiency in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Basic understanding of the navigation of various web-based insurance carrier systems.
- Working knowledge of Sagitta agency operating system.
- Knowledge of basic office equipment.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
- Ability to perform 90% sedentary work exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and negligible force occasionally.
- Occasional travel may be required.

EDUCATION/LICENSING REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience
- Active Tennessee Property & Casualty Insurance License
- Professional Certification preferred
