Business Development Manager

Job Description:

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for generating new business, diversifying the customer base, and increasing sales volume. This role will be expected to network, build, and maintain relationships with prospective customers, in addition to responding to customer inquiries and providing quotes, information, and supply chain solutions quickly and professionally. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve company targets and objectives.
• Identify new business opportunities and generate leads through market research, networking, and cold calling.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to ensure profitable business for the company.
• Work closely with the operations team to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services to clients.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction by addressing their concerns and needs.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and competitor activities to identify potential threats and opportunities for growth.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on sales activities, performance, and achievements.

Qualifications:

At least 2 years of experience in sales and business development in the transportation/drayage industry

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to identify opportunities and take initiative.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on critical thinking.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
• Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently.

Supplemental pay types:

• Bonus pay

Pay: $61,000.00 - $141,609.19 per year
