TITLE/ROLE: Sales & Catering Coordinator

DEPARTMENT: Group Sales

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist Director
  • Coordinate all group sales and catering events for the resort.
  • Communicate with clients via phone, email, and in person to confirm details and answer questions about events.
  • Create room blocks, assist clients with menu selections, and other details.
  • Organize and coordinate group/ event timeline, ensuring that the service runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Create event orders to capture all relevant information.
  • Attend group/ event planning meetings and walkthroughs with clients and other departments.
  • Welcoming guests and clients.
  • Effectively communicate with all guests and staff in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.
  • Confirm event set-up and decor with event staff to ensure all requests are met.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensures all billing and payment details are processed accurately and timely.
  • Act as a liaison between clients, kitchen staff, and event personnel during events to ensure smooth execution.
  • Follow up with clients after events to ensure satisfaction and seeks opportunities for future business.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures related to sales, catering and hospitality, and maintains a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma.
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in hospitality, culinary arts, or related field preferred.
  • Prior experience in the food service or hospitality industry required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, organized and punctual.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional appearance.
  • Available to work during holiday and weekends.
