Olsträd Engineering Corporation engineers industrial combustion and automation systems and has a need to fill an industrial sales role. We have been in business since 2007 and are immersed in leading edge technology and maintain a fluid company culture that encourages creativity and problem solving.
Our Industrial Sales Representative will be trained in our products and design philosophy, working in the office with our engineers to learn the ins and outs of our business. The role offers an exciting opportunity to become involved in dozens of different industries, spearhead innovative partnerships in the industrial sales market, initiate proposals, travel throughout the country, and build effective, long-lasting relationships with both new and existing customers. Use time-tested as well as innovative methods to introduce potential customers to the possibilities that exist in our products and services. This is for the person who likes to balance individual as well as team success.
Qualifications/Requirements
- 3+ years in outside sales in an industrial environment
- A 2-year degree or equivalent experience
- Strong electrical and mathematical aptitude
- Ability to learn through reading technical documentation as well as hands on with products
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of industrial combustion systems and their function a plus
- A willingness for some hands-on work in the field, as needed
- A desire to learn and grow the business
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, self-directed and motivated
- Proficient with contemporary business software, including CRM software

We are offering a full-time salaried position with a competitive base salary and commission (uncapped) paid on qualifying sales. Base pay starts in the $60k range and is negotiable based on qualifications.
