Position Focus
The Aftermarket Sales Representative is responsible for growing sales in our secondary profit centers, and distinguishing Black Equipment, products, and service from the competition. Develop sustainable, profitable relationships with customers while promoting sales of parts, service, and rentals within the assigned territory to ensure customer retention and satisfaction. Ensures all Black Equipment standards are executed and consistent with company direction.
Principal Responsibilities:
1. Find, penetrate, design, present solutions, and close deals particular to respective product vertical.
2. Grow profitability with core accounts through the sale of parts, service, industrial batteries, chargers, and rentals.
3. Meet or exceed assigned profitability objectives
4. Enhance professionalism by continuously increasing product and industry knowledge and interpersonal skills.
5. Attend and participate in company-sponsored training and industry trade seminars.
6. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Employment Qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Ability to solve complex customer problems and work effectively with others.
- Outstanding Customer Relationship Building Skills.
- Ability to assess and solve complex customer situations.
Previous Experience/Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- 1+ years' experience in selling complex products – experience in warehouse products.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations; shipping and receiving, put-away, order picking, replenishment, facilities management, throughput, cycle counting, transportation and logistics.
