Physician Liaison in Scarborough, ME
New England Cancer Specialists (NECS) is looking for a dynamic Physician Liaison to support and grow our physician referral program for our clinics in Southern and Mid Coast Maine as well as Sea Coast New Hampshire. They will be responsible for pro-actively forming, growing, and supporting new partnerships as well as maintaining and strengthen relationships with long-term partners and other physician clinics and specialty groups. They will support the Director of Marketing in activities to promote NECS and increase referrals and gain market share.
The primary responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to conducting frequent office visits with the goal of building high trust relationships with partners, educating current and new referring offices on the services that NECS provides, fostering rural community physician relations and referral processes, coordinate meetings between NECS physicians and key referring providers to improve communication and relationships and act as the point of contact to resolve customer service issues between referring offices and NECS. The Physician Liaison will use reporting metrics and advise NECS leadership of business opportunities, market trends, and provide recommendations on sales and marketing solutions based on the provided information. They will also collaborate in the development of educational information for referring offices, assist Marketing with community events, lectures, and outreach projects, social media posting, and other marketing initiatives.
NECS is a private medical practice composed of 14 oncologists and hematologists serving the region from 5 different locations in Maine and New Hampshire. Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, health care or related field or equivalent experience
- 2 - 5 years of sales and/or marketing experience, preferably in the healthcare industry
- General medical knowledge and ability to understand and articulate NECS’ services, treatment offerings, etc.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, public speaking, and organizational skills
- Good report writing and presentation development skills
- Ability to interact, support, and positively influence referring providers and NECS staff
- Ability to work independently and in a group setting
- Passionate about building relationships and delivering solutions
- Dedicated to follow-through and results
- Ability to create detailed sales plans, using analysis and forecasting as needed
- Strong organization skills, high integrity, reasoned and thoughtful judgment, and analytical and intuitive skills.
