Full description of the position
Manager GHER Market AccessAs Manager of Market Access in the Global Health Economics and Reimbursement (GHER) team, you will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation in commercial market access strategies to support successful patient access to the exciting new transcatheter mitral and tricuspid valve technologies (TMTT) at Edwards Lifesciences. This individual will possess a strong understanding and application of principles and concepts in health economics, reimbursement and/or healthcare finance. They will serve as a business partner/consultant, applying influence management with cross functional leaders and staff within Edwards, in order to achieve business goals and objectives. This position is based at the Edwards corporate headquarters in Irvine, California.
Primary Responsibilities include:
Contribute to the creation of the hospital service line strategy to enable patient access to TMTTs product portfolio.
Lead the development of specific deliverables to support the successful US commercialization of TMTT technologies.
Development of value communication materials and programs demonstrating the value key products to various key stakeholders, especially hospitals.
Provide input into evidence generation plans to support value proposition development.
Work with US field GHER team to tailor and disseminate customer facing materials.
Work with Medical Affairs, Marketing and Clinical Affairs to develop compelling GHER value propositions for key stakeholders.
Ensure health economic and value selling messages are consistent across the organization and compliant with legal and regulatory guidance.
Manage and shepherd critical external facing GHER materials through an internal compliance process.
Develop and execute training on GHER tools and materials
Provide insights into the interpretation of clinical, economic, and humanistic evidence relevant to the TMTT business.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a life science, health economics, health policy, finance or related field
Minimum of 8 years of related work experience or 6 years with a Masters degree
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), especially presentation development
Exceptional project management skills
Ability to balance strategic thinking with intricate planning and strong tactical execution
Strong business acumen, analytical skills and experience working with various internal business partners (especially Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Clinical, Regulatory, Legal, and Government Affairs staff) to provide insight into key market access issues
Must have a high degree of initiative, motivation and passion for the business
Thrive working in a "rapid response" environment
Exhibit the skills to collaborate with others, the ability to build solid and sustainable relationships and the capability to interact across all levels of the organization
Advanced degree (e.g. MBA, MPH, etc..) is highly desirable
6 years of experience with a Masters degree preferably in MedTech related Health Economics, Reimbursement or Market Access with demonstrated success
Previous experience in or strong working knowledge of medical device industry, especially with functional responsibility in health economics and reimbursement planning and program implementation

For California, the base pay range for this position is $111,000 to $158,000(highly experienced).
The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience).
