The Area Corporate Business Travel Sales Manager is a fully competent individual who has experience in the sales process and function of a hotel. Responsibilities include selling guest rooms, meeting space and other Hyatt services to travel managers, travel agencies, consortia’s, small group business, managing local and national accounts, and conducting site inspections that generates business. Duties also include preparing and presenting effective proposals, maintaining well organized documentation and reports, utilizes Hyatt systems and coordinates customer service requirements as appropriate. The Area Corporate Business Travel Sales Manager will also participate and may lead event meetings, sales and other staff meetings. The Area Corporate Business Travel Sales Manager also works as a team member with the sales and events team, as well maintain close contact with assigned Administrative Assistant and other support staff. This position will oversee the development and relationship of new accounts in the city of Memphis and will hold strong relationships with Business Travel guests and partners.

Qualifications and Responsibilities
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
- Refined verbal and written communication skills
- A minimum of 1-3 years of hotel sales or comparable experience preferred
- Must be proficient in general computer knowledge
- Prefer completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent training
- Prefer selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills training
- Serve as the primary contact for both transient and group accounts
- Maintain and establish relationships with key contacts for both local and national Hyatt volume accounts together with Hyatt Sales Force team
- Grow revenue and market share through proactive selling tactics based on account research, competitive intelligence and end user engagement
- Ability to deep dive and analyze targeted accounts in the comp set via competitive research
- Conduct quarterly business reviews with key retention clients to continue relationship building, anticipate future impact on hotel account mix, communicate hotel updates, gain referrals etc.,
- Develop strong business cases in preparation of Transient RPF Season/Local Contracts
- Prepare legally binding contracts and engage in contract negotiations
- Understand the revenue and business mix strategy for the hotels and generate viable solutions based on customer needs and buying habits (demographics, day of week patterns, purpose of travel etc.,)
- Understand the individual strategic account strategies to target opportunities for account growth and shift market share
- Exhibit competency in the daily systems (PRIO, Opera, Reserve, Lanyon, Travelclick, Envision Sales)
- Maintain key data related to the sales process in Envision Sales
- Weekly outside sales calls, online presentations, creative hotel tours and client entertainment
- Work as a team member with the events staff, administrative support and operation team
