The Meher Group is a fast-growing family-owned trailer parts manufacturer and distributor with its Head Office in Australia and offices around the world. The Group is looking for an experienced Sales Representative to be part of its small team to facilitate its growth in across the United States.
The Role
The position will require the candidate to work closely with customers and internal teams, with an overall goal to increase sales for the Group’s US operations. Duties may include:
- Educating customers (new and existing) of the Group’s manufacturing abilities and product range with the goal to better service customers and increase sales.
- Servicing existing customers with their requirements for new products and developments
- Actively seeking new customers to grow the sales – through email/phone/contacts/cold-calling.
- Ensuring follows up are carried out internally to meet customers’ requirements and/or following up with customers for information needed to progress developments.
- Being proactive in responding to all stakeholders (strict 24hr email and communication policy to be adhered to).
- Preparing Sales data for internal stakeholders such as finance, engineering, and purchasing to ensure customer demands can be met.
- Ensuring customers and factory/warehouse teams are in-sync in liaison with the Operations Manager.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate has outstanding communication skills and is looking to grow in the role: Desirable skills include:
- Bachelor’s degree ideally in Sales/Marketing/Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- High attention to detail with a systematic and organised approach to work.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Be self-motivated and can work autonomously, but also in collaboration with other departments as required.
- Exceptional communication skills—verbal, written, and presentation.
- Ability to take initiative and think of innovative ways to find solutions to problems.
- Experience in the trailer or caravan industry is highly preferred
This role may require some overnight stays while visiting customers. You must also have reliable transport. The position also provides health care, dental, vision and 401k benefits.
You will be working with a small team in a family-based office environment working closely with all members. This position has great career growth opportunity as The Meher Group is growing rapidly and is looking for energetic and enthusiastic staff to assist the Group.
Usual Business hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm. However, in order to be successful in the position, you may be required to work additional times to liaise with Head Office and other overseas stakeholders to ensure effective communication amongst the entire team.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now and at any time in the future.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 per year
