Account Executive - Portland/Southern Maine

Dennis Food Service, a 100% employee-owned company, is recruiting for an experienced sales professional to join our growing company as an Account Executive in the Portland/Southern Maine market. This position reports directly to the Southern Maine District Sales Manager. The seasoned professional is responsible for maintaining sales and margin budgets, making appropriate pricing decisions when working with customers, opening new accounts, and servicing current accounts to maintain profitability and ensure accounts remain current.

A successful candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit and a willingness to try new ideas, be self-motivated and self-managing with a responsibility to the company and employee-owners.

Key Position Responsibilities:

• Maintain weekly and daily sales plans, including call reports
• Work well with all departments within the company to enhance cooperation
• Be self-motivated
• Maintain an active lead sheet to secure new business
• Educate themselves on products and trends
• Attend sales meetings
• Work to attain all sales promotions
• Effectively target all product segments within an account, using our systems to analyze item sale opportunities
• Maintain good communication with all Dennis Food Service employees
• Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

• Prior sales experience (3-5 years)
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
• Experience in related industries preferred, however candidates with a proven track record of successful sales and management are encouraged to apply
