Federal Sales Director will lead and support a Federal Sales team and guide them in maintaining and pursuing relationships that will heighten the senior IT leadership within federal government agencies and the Department of Defense. Responsible for assisting the team in achieving sales quota by implementing sales programs and identifying opportunities for growth across the Nation. Designs and sets short- and long-term strategies and techniques to increase the department’s sales volume for net new as well as for existing opportunities.

Able to quickly understand technical information related to all products FTI offers as well as effectively understanding technology that will help clients solve identified needs/requirements.

Serve as the face of the company when dealing with federal agencies and the Department of Defense which includes building relationships with key partners, vendors, and leadership across the spectrum of clients/potential clients.

Perform research through diverse government platforms, identifying viable contract opportunities for the sales team to pursue – could be in RFI/RFP/RFQ status – ensuring opportunities meet FTI’s strengths and strategic sales plans.

Create and develop federal contract quotes.

Proven experience as a strong sales manager or in other managerial positions that have similar requirements.

Strong understanding and knowledge of the US Federal marketplace, particularly in IT technology.

Advanced knowledge and understanding of technology including Security/Storage/Cloud OEMS and be able to articulate knowledge/experience of technology in a sales environment.

Currently hold or held (within the last 5-7 years) a federal government clearance (TS preferable).

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Information Technology or equivalent in relevant work experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $165,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
