Remote/Hybrid Work Flexibility
This position offers remote work flexibility in Maine, allowing for both time in the office and the ability to work from the comfort of your home. Fully remote opportunities available in applicable states (FL, GA, IA,IN, NJ, NC, SC).
The Position
The Financial Reporting, Account Manager is responsible for managing the review and the preparation of financial statement reporting deliverables, adhering to established timelines and protocols. Account Managers are also responsible for:
- Interacting and advising as a source of technical support for fund accounting groups and clients in the preparation, review, and delivery of year end and interim financial statements
- Acting as the primary liaison with clients and their audit, legal and other third-party vendors via audit planning calls, ongoing status calls and year-end board meetings
- Maintaining a strong control environment through updating procedures, internal templates, review checklists, and training materials for new accounting pronouncements
Qualifications and Experience
- Four to six years of financial reporting experience in mutual funds, hedge funds or private equity funds
- Knowledge of AICPA Audit and Accounting Guide for Investment Companies; Accounting Standard Update’s and Codifications, such as ASC 815 and ASC 820
- Proficiency acting as a primary liaison with clients and their audit, legal and other third-party service providers—from planning audits through issues resolution
- Experience with Advent Geneva accounting software is a plus
Education Requirements
- Four-year college degree
