This position is responsible and accountable for leading and developing the domestic and international sales, sales support, and customer experience efforts of the company. Leads the various domestic and international Sales and Customer Experience teams on the design and implementation of strategic initiatives. Provides the leadership to achieve the corporate goals as defined by the annual and three-year sales budget and plan. As a member of the company leadership team, the Vice President of Sales and Customer Experience brings the customer focus to product development, marketing, manufacturing, delivery, operations, and after-the-sale service. These tasks are accomplished by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
- Leading the sales efforts for all sales channels
- Develop governmental relationships and strategies to promote Pitsco solutions through adoptions, appropriations, and so on
- Directing, developing, and coaching assigned sales leadership personnel
- Developing and executing the annual sales and customer experience business plan for the company along with other members of the Sales Leadership team
- Leading the Sales and Customer Experience teams in the design and implementation of the sales plans
- Providing strategic input across areas of the organization, including sales, customer experience, educational partnerships, and product development
- Growing sales through developing new opportunities and sales channels
- Creating the annual sales budget for company
- Providing input on the marketing plans for all sales channels
- Maintaining close contact with the primary market leaders and clients
- Providing input to development plans for future products and curriculum offerings
- Supporting strategic partnerships within the K-12 market
- Leading the efforts to grow revenue
- Working with sales leadership to forecast growth for current and emerging product lines
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, business, or related field
- 15 years in sales management experience in education market
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent analytic and planning skills
- Strong team building and leadership skills
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- General office environment
- Ability to be physically mobile with reasonable accommodation including ability to walk, balance, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, and stoop
