A Senior Relationship Manager at Camden National Wealth Management is responsible for the overall client experience from intake and financial planning through the annual administration and servicing of accounts. This person develops and maintains a thorough understanding of clients’ preferences and needs while collaborating with CNWM team members to execute complex estate, retirement and tax plans for individual and institutional clients.
This position offers the flexibility to be located in either Portland or Bangor, Maine.

Responsibilities:
Delivers the following core wealth relationship management services:
  • Comprehensive plan development with each client. Thoroughly interviews clients to identify gaps between their current circumstances and where they need to be.
  • Financial Planning
  • Tax Planning
  • Administrative Reviews
  • Serve as member of Trust Administration Committee (TAC)
  • Tier client list and manage time to ensure focus on highest value activity.
  • Meet with clients at least annually and lead meeting preparation process
  • Use support resources appropriately to complete a high volume of unique client commitments.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with Portfolio Managers and team members to ensure there is cohesion, and that all relevant internal parties have the information needed to support the client.
  • Ensure client documentation is current with changing circumstances, for example, obtaining powers of attorney, updating beneficiary designations, entity corporate authorities
  • Oversee Trust Administration and adhere to individual trust terms. Bring a depth and breadth of knowledge in interpreting complex estate plan documents.
  • Ensure adherence to all policies, procedures and regulations and emphasizes and contributes to strong compliance, risk management and control environment.
  • Partners with Portfolio Managers, Client Advisors, Administrators and other team members to manage client relationships, often serving as the lead client team member.
  • Initiates regular contact with clients and also responds promptly to ad hoc requests for individualized distributions, tax forms, reports and any specialized commitments to the client.
  • Actively participates in new business generation, expanding existing relationships, as well as, developing new relationships. Achieves annual recurring revenue goals as prescribed by Business Unit Head, based on Wealth Advisor’s client base, geography, career path, and business unit objectives.
  • Collaborates with internal Centers of Influence (bank partners, banking centers and ambassadors) and external Centers of Influence to foster highest value referral sources. Represents CNWM in the community.
  • Introduces and educates clients on diverse range of CNB products. Liaise with bank ambassadors to support clients’ comprehensive financial needs with the Bank (deposits, mortgage products, lines of credit, etc).
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree along with 5-10 years of related experience and/or training in the financial
services industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Juris Doctor (JD), Certified Trust & Financial Advisor (CTFA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or CPA designation(s) strongly preferred.
  • Prior investment experience beneficial, but not required.
