Job Description


As a Director of Brick & Mortar Retail, you will be responsible for owning and managing Acquco’s offline sales channels globally. You will deliver year-over-year sales growth by launching new products, developing relationships with key brokers and retail buyers, and pursuing new retail opportunities. This role is also part of the new product process and brings insights from customers into the new item ideation discussion. The position is a driver of sales and profits of our company focused on regional accounts, large / small chains, and category-specific retailers. This omnichannel position has an opportunity for growth within the company, including the potential to build and lead a team. The position will be fully remote but have a preference for candidates located in NYC.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage the Brick & Mortar business for Acquco, driving sales growth and improving overall performance with our retail and broker partners
  • Build and grow relationships with key retail and broker partners, working to ensure Acquco’s products are well-represented and in-stock
  • Facilitate the onboarding of new bricks-and-mortar retail and online marketplaces, ensuring all deliverables are provided on schedule by internal teams
  • Project manage the workflow within Acquco’s Marketing, Product Development, and Supply Chain departments to design sell sheets, develop channel-specific products and packaging, and manage production and logistics expectations for each opportunity
  • Liaise with Finance department to develop FP&A model for each opportunity and ensure alignment with Acquco’s financial objectives
  • Build promotional plans by customer for each key selling season
  • Conduct channel analysis and reporting, using data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement

Qualifications
  • MUST have experience managing retail broker relationships- including ownership of all broker correspondence & deliverables Experience with broker contact & terms negotiations preferred
  • MUST have buyer/merchant facing experience- including creating product pitch decks and delivering product pitches
  • MUST have strong project management experience, specifically experience partnering with PD, design, supply chain, and other cross functional teams to help bring buyer suggested innovation or product requests to life from the ground up
  • 6+ years of experience managing wholesale & retail accounts
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; highly self-motivated
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively manage partnerships with key retail partners
  • Knowledge of international supply chains and retail logistics
  • Strong understanding of Google Workspace platforms, especially Google Sheets and Slides
  • Requires some travel for customer meetings, trade shows, store checks, and customer presentations
  • A self starter who is highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to measure and report on channel performance and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Passion for start-ups, e-commerce, and rapid growth is a must
  • Experience with a brand that’s made a successful leap from DTC sales to bricks-and-mortar distribution

Compensation
:

As of the time of this posting, the expected base annual salary range for this position is $90,000 to $150,000. The actual base annual salary will be based on a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, and experience, as well as business needs and limitations. As a result, compensation may vary within and across similar roles and positions. Please note that the base annual salary range information set forth above is a good faith estimate for this position and actual compensation for any individual may fall outside this range if warranted by the circumstances applicable to that individual. If we identify a role that would be suitable for a broader range of skills and experience such that we would consider hiring at multiple levels, then the range listed above may reflect that breadth. If offered a position, the actual base annual salary will be contained in your offer letter.
