In this fast-paced, high energy environment where great guest service is essential, how do we keep guests informed about all the exciting things happening at Potawatomi Hotel and Casino? As a Director of Revenue Management, you will be responsible for providing oversight to ensure exceptional financial results for the Potawatomi Hotels and Casinos. You will lead by identifying and assigning work to the hotel yield management team as well as data insights to all property operational areas, demonstrate top-notch leadership skills, and ensure guest satisfaction. Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)
- Carry out department responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training team members; scheduling and motivating team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members up to and including termination; addressing complaints; and resolving problems.
- Drive revenue and market share for each property in the portfolio by:
- Participating in weekly revenue management calls to assist with strategy and forecasting
- Reviewing data, reports, market conditions and trends and evaluating / suggesting revenue management strategies, ensuring follow through as necessary
- Analyzing / forecasting demand and ensuring effective selling strategies, oversell strategies and optimized market mix and use of distribution channels for overall hotel profitability
- Monitoring all distribution channels to ensure effective rate and inventory management and pricing strategies in tandem with each hotel’s assigned Revenue Manager
- Evaluating hotel-level forecasts to ensure accuracy and proactive adjustment of strategy where needed to mitigate losses or maximize gains
- Conducting displacement analyses to help RMs, DOSs and GMs make the right revenue decisions when accepting business
- Reviewing and implementing processes, policies and procedures at the hotel level
- Participating in and contributing to monthly sales and revenue management meetings with senior leadership and property teams, completing action plans for properties to follow to create additional production / revenue
- Providing additional support and training for properties experiencing loss in market share or turnover in key revenue-impacting positions
- Maximize profitability throughout the organization by:
- Evaluating business with F&B revenue included
- Identifying demand generators for each market and production from these accounts or attractions
- Keeping a pulse on national and local economic trends to determine impact on hotel revenues
- Understanding BT/LNR/CNR and other corporate opportunities market-wide and ensuring each hotel is appropriately aware of opportunities and positioned to achieve
- Understanding and projecting market trends and position relative to competitors, ensuring all hotels in the impacted area are properly positioned
- Compiling and disseminating key best practices uncovered through engagement with individual teams to swiftly lift the performance of all hotels
- Developing / maintaining an evaluation program to determine results from consolidated revenue management meeting decisions as well as various marketing, value-added and pricing programs to ensure they are delivering the expected contributions to RevPAR and profits
- Produce comprehensive, accurate and timely portfolio-level reporting to senior leadership:
- Assisting with development and maintenance of optimal revenue models based on market growth forecasts
- Developing and implementing a consistent, easy-to-understand set of templates, reports, and analyses
- Producing required weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, and other reports as required
- Participate in forecasting, budgeting and the development of the annual marketing plan.
- Understand and identify brand pricing, promotional, marketing, and eCommerce initiatives and recommendations that should be implemented not only for compliance but in order to maximize revenues.
- Coordinate with hotel management teams to drive results through effective training, coaching, leading, motivating, empowering and following through with all revenue management strategies with the hotel team members
- Perform numerical analysis of data and formulate conclusions and solutions, relaying to constituents in a logical, well-organized manner
- Assist senior leadership with market studies, evaluating and underwriting metrics of potential new build hotels, acquisitions, or repositioning of existing assets
- Work collaboratively with others to achieve desired results.
- Effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to peers, ownership and investors
- Establish, update, and ensure full compliance with departmental Internal Controls, policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Business, Finance, Hotel Management or related field required. Master’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum three (3) years of management experience on an executive level is required.
- Minimum ten (10) years of experience in hospitality or gaming industry. Analytical and technical skills required.
- Working knowledge of reservations front offices, sales and catering is needed to take full advantage of revenue opportunities.
- Forecasting, yield management and creative revenue management abilities/experience required. Analytical and technical skills also required.
- Office skills, ability to use standard office equipment and computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Access and Power Point.
- Ability to communicate effectively before groups of guests or team members of organization, top management and public groups.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
- Strong influencing and relationship-management skills. Ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels and understand the interests of multiple stakeholders and how those interests relate to Potawatomi Bingo Casino and its goals.
- Ability to meet deadlines, possess integrity, confidentiality and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret the most complex documents, such as technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- The ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information.
- The ability to interact with and understand the interests of stakeholders at all levels, as well as the impact of those interests on PH&C and its goals. The ability to communicate effectively before groups of guests or team members of the organization.
- The ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays. Travel required between Potawatomi Hotels and Casinos.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Employee must be able to operate a personal computer. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.

Working Conditions
The noise level is usually moderate. When on the casino floor the noise level increases. The facility is not smoke free.
