Position: Group Sales Representative
Position Type: Full Time
Work Week: Must have flexible schedule during peak season to work evenings and weekends, M-F in off season.

Job Description- Consists predominantly of outside sales tasks, making outbound sales calls, generating sales leads for outside sales representatives, taking in-bound sales calls, coordinating sales contracts and logistics, providing related information to potential clients, helping execute events on rental schedule.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Actively promote and sell Zoo picnics and all rental opportunities through inbound leads, networking, and outbound calls/emails.
- Generate quotes, contracts and invoices.
- Coordinating and/or providing site tours.
- Generating leads for outside sales opportunities.
- Appeals to local hotels, planners, universities, companies and organizations regarding group ticket sales programs.
- Helps manage corporate discount programs and affiliate stores.
- Assists in distribution of monthly group sales promotional campaigns.
- Understands client needs and requirements to execute and plan the needs of private rentals, including venue, guests, programs, and catering.
- Coordinates with catering department, events team and appropriate Zoo departments.
- Provides Zoo representation at certain evening and weekend group events.
- General office duties such as supply management, phone duty, copying, filing, mailings, and computer support as needed.
Work Requirements and Qualifications:
- College Degree with a minimum 3 years sales experience.
- Ticket and group event sales experience desired.
- Must be energetic, result and detail oriented, with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with clients, guests and staff.
- Must represent the Zoo in positive manner at all times.
- Able to take full initiative in starting and completing tasks.
- Must be proficient in Excel and Word.
- Able and willing to work a non-standard work week, including nights and weekends and a flexible schedule.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work outside in a variety of conditions, as needed.
- Ability to operate golf cart or RTV vehicle.
Uniform Requirements:
Primarily business casual with Zoo logoed shirt provided for public and private event days, as needed.
