Job Description
Position Overview:
As a member of the Sales Department, the Inside Sales Engineer will work closely with both Inside and Outside Sales Teams to develop and position solutions involving Motorola Solutions Video Security and Access Control (VS&A) products. The Inside Sales Engineer is responsible for all technical aspects of the sales process, and works closely with the Sales Department to develop and position solutions involving VS&A products.
As a member of the Sales Department, the Inside Sales Engineer will work closely with both Inside and Outside Sales Teams to develop and position solutions involving Motorola Solutions Video Security and Access Control (VS&A) products. The Inside Sales Engineer is responsible for all technical aspects of the sales process, and works closely with the Sales Department to develop and position solutions involving VS&A products that keep customers at their best in the moments that matter.
Responsibilities:
Support Sales Team in responding to RFPs, designing, specifying, and quoting surveillance and access control systems.
Effectively disseminate product knowledge by providing thorough training to Sales Team, Manufacturing Representatives, Integrators, and End-Users.
Articulate the technology and demonstrate differentiated value propositions to both business and technical prospects.
Conduct compelling product demonstrations and lead technical discussions.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with members of the Sales Department.
Assist with demo equipment assets and logistics.
Maintain demo sites.
Create technical documentation and provide technical training.
Close support to Sales teams in achieving sales targets.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:Previous professional experience with networking and systems design for a technology company. Candidates with a prior focus, educational background, or certifications on Cloud / SaaS, networking, storage environments, virtualization, physical security products, OR technical degrees in areas of study such as Computer Science or Engineering disciplines are highly preferred.
Self-motivated individual with a positive attitude that demonstrates passion and enthusiasm for learning new technology and has an aptitude for customer satisfaction.
Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written. Ability to explain complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Possesses strong problem solving / troubleshooting skills with strong knowledge of IP networking architecture, protocols and security
Takes on and advocates for personal projects or initiatives and frequently volunteers to take on tasks and responsibilities outside of typical daily responsibilities.
Has excellent time management and consistently meets deadlines with focus and purpose.
Candidates with technical certifications in the following areas or equivalent experience preferred. (cloud computing, networking, storage technologies, cybersecurity, API/SDKs)
Strong knowledge of or experience utilizing MSI Video Security & Access Control products is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to self-manage working as an individual contributor or as part of a collaborative group.
Technical:
Intimate knowledge and experience with Windows troubleshooting tools and techniques.
Excellent knowledge of networking principles and IP communication.
Experience with computer hardware configuration and troubleshooting.
Experience with network equipment configuration and troubleshooting.
Preference will be given to candidates with one or more of the following:
Technical degrees in areas of study such as Computer Science or Engineering disciplines
Previous experience in Sales Engineering/Pre-Sales role for a technology company.
Prior experience in the surveillance industry.
Microsoft and/or Cisco certifications.
Certifications for Avigilon, Pelco, IndigoVision, or any competitive products.
Territory/Travel
The Inside Sales Engineer shall have the responsibility to cover the following territory:
North America
Candidate preferably located in Dallas/Fort Worth, TX Area
Travel required, less than 25%
