Job Description
Rudram Engineering (REI) is seeking a Govt. Business Development Executive. This exciting, forward-leaning role involves identifying and leading opportunity pursuits, finding and engaging with potential new customers, and shaping and leading proposals. This is an important impact role within our successful team, requiring consistent support for ensuring company growth over several years.
The successful candidate must have a willingness to lead and be proactive in prospecting for new customers and opportunities. They are expected to work well with others, adapt quickly to changing customer needs, team with multiple industry partners as required, and lead/work along with other BD team members.
Responsibilities
- Identify, target, and win new customers in Government Defense and Civil portfolio.
- Develop and implement a Strategic Plan including multi-year strategic plans that identify key agencies and technologies that will enable the company to achieve its goals of growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Create and sustain a valid pipeline of opportunities to meet the company vision (5-Year) plan.
- Build and execute marketing and communications plans to support specific opportunities.
- Engage with new customers to identify their drivers and requirements.
- Own the Business Development Process, including: Develop plans to win new opportunities.
Develop and refine win strategies and discriminators. Perform competitive assessments, identify discriminators, and propose counters to competitor strengths. Identify key industry events, forums, or with influencer groups and represent Rudram Engineering Identify efficiencies in bidding activities including use of lessons learned. Create, update, and maintain CRM records to support new business opportunity pursuits.
- Support proposal preparation, review, and approval process.
- Advise REI leadership on teaming and partnering strategies.
- Regularly report to REI’s Leadership Team the status of all major opportunities assigned, and the status toward achieving the awards plan.

- Experience within Cyber, Systems, and Software Engineering marketplace is an advantage
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in STEM related field, General Business, or Marketing
- Must have experience in US Government business development, proposals, bids, or contracts
- Demonstrable knowledge of the US Government acquisition process
- Working knowledge of business development and capture process.
- Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive, or a relevant role
- Minimum 7 years of proven sales track record
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and CRM software platforms
- Proficiency in English
- Market knowledge in technology, specifically in system software engineering and cybersecurity
- Communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to build rapport
- Time management and planning skills
Location: Main office Rockledge, FL.
