Industrial Sales Person - Air Compressor Division – Knoxville, TN
Job Description: John Bouchard & Sons Co. (JBS), a family owned and operated business, is seeking an Industrial Sales Person with a proven track record of profitably increasing a customer base in the industrial sales industry in East Tennessee.
The successful candidate must be self-motivated, customer-oriented, and have no less than 3 years of sales experience in identifying profitable product offerings and developing strong business relationships in the industrial market.
This is a salaried position with opportunity for annual bonus. Position includes company vehicle/gas card and requires minimal overnight travel.
Qualifications:
· 3 years successful industrial sales experience; compressor sales preferred
· Extensive knowledge of local territory preferred
· Electromechanical understanding required; air compressor, pump & nitrogen generator expertise preferred
· Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build influential relationships
· High School diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
· Must be able to read and write in English; strong written communication preferred
· Strong Microsoft Office, computer and writing skills required
· Operator's Driver’s License and an acceptable MVR required
Responsibilities/Requirements (Includes But Not Limited To)
· Build and sustain long-term relationships with new and existing customers
· Maximize sales and service of industrial equipment in territory
· Develop sales pipeline through combination of inbound leads, cold calling, networking, meeting attendance, and market sector knowledge/intelligence
· Travel within assigned sales territory to meet with existing and potential customers
· Present solutions to assist customers in new compressed air system design as well as system improvements for existing customers
· Strategically negotiate with potential and existing customers to close sales
· Manage sales projects from start to finish, overseeing all aspects of new installation and startup.
· Maintain accurate record of all leads, prospects, customer accounts and sales
· Maintain understanding of the latest industry developments and market conditions
· Work cooperatively with other JBS personnel to accomplish business goals and objectives, seeking the success of the Knoxville branch and the entire Compressed Air Division
Customer Service: As a Sales Person, you will serve as a brand ambassador for JBS and its high standards of exceptional service, while also promoting industry-leading manufacturers represented by JBS. You must provide a high level of customer service, responding to customer needs and working to satisfy customer expectations within a timely manner. You can expect repeat business by developing rapport with customers through effective communication, interpersonal skills, and delivered solutions.
