Director of Sales

Summit Hospitality Group, Ltd.

Position Summary

Responsible for a multi-property, market sales effort. Collaborate, coordinate, execute and measure the results of market strategies and processes that drive top line revenues, market share and profitability to the portfolio of hotels within the market. Provide sales leadership, education, mentoring, talent recruitment, and performance accountability for team members. Demonstrate effective internal and external communication, advocate an enthusiastic, professional work environment, and elevate our customer experience.

Overall Responsibilities

· Tactical and timely execution of company sales initiatives through market strategies

· Strategic hotel and market planning, result accountability, and reporting

· Market Segment and Account Deployment to leverage our business and community relationships and drive business transient, group and extended stay revenues into our portfolio of hotel

· Proactive and Reactive sales efforts to maximize business opportunities and revenue

· Provide a comprehensive business partnership with our accounts to drive loyalty, increase market share, and focus on customer experience

· Performance accountability though goal setting, development plans, reviews, mentioning and coaching

· Talent recruitment & retention

· Continual professional education to enhance performance, effectiveness, and sharpening of professional and person skills

Job Tasks

· Identify and manage the primary business drivers within the market that generate quality leads

· Identify and pursue new business development and continue to grow existing account portfolio; replace underperforming accounts

· Participate in developing budget, sales, goal setting, and performance processes and procedures

· Implement and advocate the market initiatives from the sales & marketing business plan

· Analyze operational and sales reports to identify opportunities and develop strategies to gain market share, proper mix of business, increase revenues and provide greater profits

· Lead and participate in sales meeting by providing insight, identifying business needs and benchmarking progress in the market sales efforts

· Be knowledgeable, communicate and provide leadership with all brand sales initiative, strategies, trainings and systems

· Manage sponsorships and affiliations that align with the company’s civic duty, community outreach and sales & marketing strategies

· Participate in community events, associations and organizations to promote our company’s community presents

· Develop strategic business partnerships that provide leads, referrals, community awareness and direct sales

· Accurate tracking and account data entry into Customer Relationship Management system (CRM)

· Participate and advocate customer entertainment events (athletic, concert & event tickets)

· Actively mentor and participate in sales calls, prospecting, blitzes, customer events and trade shows

· Provide corporate and brand sales training for all sales members

· Facilitate hiring, disciplinary and talent recruiting efforts

· Submit timely self performance appraisals, Paid Time Off requests and expenses for approval

· Conduct performance appraisals for direct reports

· Approve Paid Time Off requests for direct reports

· Approve expenses for direct reports
