The Regional Sales Manager will drive new business through identifying and building strong relationships with key distribution partners and clients within the Midwest/Central territory for Berkley Accident and Health, Specialty Accident products. You will contribute by using your sales and market expertise to help shape our product and distribution expansion strategies across the Unites States. Come join us!
This is a remote position traveling within the Midwest/Central region
Key functions include but are not limited to:
- Identify and meet in person with prospective distribution partners to help expand our Specialty Accident footprint at Berkley Accident & Health (BAH)
- Generate and manage a strong pipeline of accounts and new distribution opportunities with the goal of meeting or exceeding an annual new business premium and profitability goals
- Collaborate with Marketing and Underwriting to execute sales strategy within the territory
- Attend in person broker meetings, conferences and networking events
- Solicit and share feedback from distribution with underwriting, marketing and operational support teams
- Deliver consistent excellent customer service in line with our brand promise
- Strategize with BAH Captive and ESL partners, in addition to other W.R. Berkley companies, to uncover multiple cross sell opportunities
- Be a key contributor to the development and execution of our national strategic growth initiatives
- Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent working experience
- Minimum 5+ years of insurance sales experience in the Accident & Health, Specialty Accident area, but open for the right candidate
- Passion and a track record of building your business, exceptional discipline and self-motivation puts success in your control
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding annual new business goals
- Strong relationship management skills along with incredible empathy and understanding of the needs of our customers, both insureds and their agents alike
- Strong strategic thinker who is willing to challenge our ideas and growth strategies
- Calm under pressure; you have excellent organizational skills, integrity, and great follow-through on tasks; you are comfortable challenging norms while working collaboratively with colleagues at all levels of the organization
- Natural curiosity; you love learning how things work and you are always looking for innovative improvements
