The job itself… As part of the North Point Hospitality Sales & Marketing Team, The Area Director of Sales oversees and manages sales activities within Market or Markets as assigned by the Vice President, Sales and Marketing, and working in close collaboration with the General Managers of the properties within the assigned Market area. The area Director will ensure the success of the Sales team within their assigned Market by providing excellent direction and feedback and by effectively anticipating and addressing the needs of the department. Essential Functions:
- Oversees and manages sales activities for NPH Properties within Market or Markets as assigned
- Creates and maintains an office environment conducive to effective selling customer advocacy
- Oversee hiring and training and development of Sales Managers, Property Sales Directors (if applicable), and Hourly Sales Associates/ Coordinators
- Sets booking goals for Sales Team members
- Leads as necessary to drive revenue and meet property objectives, guiding Property Directors and or Managers
- Drives both guest and associate satisfaction while ensuring department's financial success
- Leads the sales team in focusing on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of hotel sales objectives
- Responsible for development of annual sales and marketing plans for each hotel
- Upholds the NPH Guest Service Principles
- College degree in communications, marketing or related preferred
- Knowledge and proven track record of graphic design
- 2 years’ experience in the marketing field
Supervisory Responsibility:
Sales Managers and/or Property Sales Directors
Work Environment:
Professional work environment requiring business casual dress. Frequent interactions with clients, vendors, guests, hotel leadership and various departments

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent experience
- 5+ years hotel sales experience
- Hotel leadership experience preferred
- Proven track record for success in sales and revenue generation supported with documentation and/or professional references
