Full description of the position

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in ticket sales and/or ticket operations is preferred.

Job Description Summary
The University of South Alabama’s Athletics department is seeking to hire an Account Executive – Athletic Ticket Sales. Interested candidates should apply to be considered.

Essential Functions

These are the job duties required of the position.

Essential Functions
  • Sells season tickets, mini plans and group tickets to collegiate athletic events by prospecting, networking, generating leads, and cold calling.
  • Calls on area companies and organizations to set up appointments to sell new season tickets and group packages.
  • Builds relationships with USA fan base by providing exceptional customer service.
  • Renews current ticket holder base and group tickets on a yearly basis and grows the overall spend of renewal accounts.
  • Generates new leads from contacts.
  • Works selected home athletic events.
  • Performs duties assigned including customer service and to be the liaison for ticket holders and group contacts.
  • Attends and actively participates in department meetings focusing on revenue generation.
  • Provides weekly updates of sales performance, appointment recaps and customer service issues to Associate Athletic Director of Development and Director of Ticket Sales.
  • Works nights and weekends when necessary.
  • Regular and prompt attendance.
  • Ability to work schedule as defined and additional hours as required.
  • Related duties as required.
