PumpMan Pittsburgh, a PumpMan Holdings Company, is a manufacturer's representative and repair & service provider for municipal water and waste water treatment equipment and systems. PumpMan Pittsburgh represents numerous pump, valve, and pump system manufacturers and serves the Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Eastern Ohio, and Maryland Panhandle markets. PumpMan Pittsburgh services include: new equipment sales, water and waste water treatment equipment sales, start-up, routine inspection, field troubleshooting and repair, and a fully equipped state-of-the-art test facility.

Responsibilities:

• Grow the direct Commercial & Industrial sales market (pumps, water and waste water treatment equipment, aftermarket, and service) in the Western PA, WV, Ohio, and Maryland panhandle regions.
• Prospecting on local businesses for replacement, maintenance, and service projects
• Call on building managers, maintenance managers, and maintenance personnel.
• Attend trade shows to promote our business
• Follow-up on incoming sales & service leads
• Maintain relationship with customers, providing ongoing sales support and handling service issues
• Regular study product offering, types of equipment, and service capabilities
• Constantly work to gain knowledge on competitors and their equipment.
• Business to Business Cold Calling

Qualifications and Skills:

• High School or Trade School Diploma
• Minimum seven (7) years? experience with pumps, motors, and equipment in the field service sales, or water & wastewater industry
• Technical Training School or experience in electrical/mechanical trade
• Proficiency and aptitude to understand mechanical equipment and mechanical work
• Diagnose problems and determine appropriate action for sales or service opportunities
• Read, interpret, and work from sketches, books, blueprints, and specifications.
• Commitment to quality workmanship and doing the job right the first time
• Knowledge of Electrical and control circuits
• Excellent attitude and customer orientation
• Strong analytical skills and proficient computer skills
• Ability to work independently and work extended hours as needed
• Reside near company location and willingness to travel within client territory
• Must have a valid driver?s license
• Must be able to pass a background investigation, physical evaluation, and drug screen
