Job Title: Outside Sales Representative - Colorado Springs, Colorado

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as an Outside Sales Representative in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Job Description: As an Outside Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and building strong relationships with our valued customers in the Colorado Springs area. Your primary responsibility will be to generate new business opportunities and promote our wide range of lumber and building material products to contractors, builders, architects, and other industry professionals.

Responsibilities:

Generate new leads and develop a robust pipeline of prospective customers through various means such as cold-calling, networking events, referrals, and targeted marketing campaigns.

Conduct in-depth research and analysis of market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify sales opportunities and formulate effective sales strategies.

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers by providing exceptional customer service, understanding their unique requirements, and offering appropriate product solutions.

Actively engage with customers to understand their projects, provide product recommendations, prepare accurate quotes, and negotiate pricing to secure sales.

Collaborate with our internal teams, including inside sales, purchasing, and operations, to ensure seamless order processing, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction.

Stay updated on industry developments, product knowledge, and relevant building codes to effectively address customer inquiries and provide professional advice.

Meet and exceed sales targets, objectives, and key performance indicators set by the company.

Prepare and submit timely sales reports, activity logs, and other documentation to the general manager for evaluation and analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in outside sales preferred, preferably in the lumber or building materials industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building customer relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to establish rapport and influence decision-makers.
  • Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing sales opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of lumber and building materials, construction methods, and building codes is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage leads, track activities, and monitor sales performance.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
