Decker - CAT Rental Store

NOW HIRING for a Rental Sales Representative based out of Danbury, CT.

Please note that this position requires regular travel to meet with clients or attend industry events.

Duties:

Promote the profitable rental and sales of Caterpillar & Allied equipment

· Continually identify and contact new and existing customers in the assigned territory

· Provide high quality and cost-effective coverage of the assigned territory

· Service existing accounts and develop new accounts

· Promote the benefits and overall value of Caterpillar and allied equipment

· Process rental and sales orders, address customer concerns and maximize rental and sales business/growth

Manage and develop the assigned rental & sales territory

· Work cooperatively with other Rental & Sales Reps to maximize geographic sales coverage

· Maintain accurate data on the activities of customers within the territory

· Maximize Decker's share of the total rental business of each existing customer

· Develop and maintain awareness of the state of the construction industry as well as all competitive activity

Contribute to the quality of the customer's experience with Decker Tool Rental / CAT Rental Store

· Become an integral part of the customer's business

· Work closely with other members of Decker's team to maximize customer service

· Continuously develop product/industry knowledge and business acumen

Qualifications:

We are seeking a highly motivated self-starter, results-driven individual that possesses the following qualifications:

· Knowledge of equipment rental business

· Ability to prospect and cultivate new accounts

· Strong organizational skills to manage leads, customer information, and sales records effectively

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers

· PC Proficient (Including high proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office and other software)

· Good influencing skills

· Economically motivated

· Must have a valid driver’s license for travel *This is an outside sales position*

Essential Physical Job Qualifications:

· Standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time

· Hand coordination (typing and writing)

· Frequent walking and potential need for climbing

· Occasional forward bending and reaching

· Carrying (up to 20lbs.)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
