Position Summary: The Business Development Manager is responsible for helping us meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping our companies competitive and innovative. This person is responsible for maximizing our sales potential, crafting sales plans and justifying those plans to the leadership. This person will cultivate and maintain positive relationships, provide excellent customer service, and keep the pulse of our customer, team, CRM, and various media platforms. This position has no direct oversight and management of any other positions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
● Implement measurable indicators in generating new and maintaining current business.
● Increase distribution and volume across targeted segments.
● Follow a consistent plan for communication to existing customers, visit as needed, and input into the central CRM system.
● Answer customer phone inquiries.
● Servicing existing accounts
● Actively advance our brands by promoting patronage of our products and services.
● Implement sales performance measures and targets using brand priorities.
● Utilize sales history, data tools, and competitive activity to manage, promote, and build brand awareness.
● Develop & maintain tracking system for our Container Services
● Promote new and existing offers ie., Shredding Services, Certified Weights, E-Scrap.
● Maintain relationships with customers by providing fast and accurate information regarding our services and products and guide them to the best solutions
● Implement, organize, and manage ongoing sales contacts from our CRM
● Maintain and update key customer information utilizing CRM to communicate key customer activities throughout our organization; delivers timely sales calls and account activity reports.
● Qualify leads, present requirements, communicate, and maintain ongoing marketing campaigns through the sales process
● Make outboard calls to qualify and solicit significant new business.
● Respond to all customer requests, questions, and concerns thoroughly and in a timely manner; handle requests for product information, samples, and pricing.
● Proactively assist and support all departmental functions to enable Sullivan’s Scrap Metals to achieve its monthly/annual sales goals.
● Travel as required to customer and vendor sites.
● Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service.
Business Development Duties
Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence
Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of the products and competition status

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
