JOB PURPOSE
Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the 14th Street Y Fitness department. Work with General Manager and others to create, develop and continually improve upon Fitness programming. Prepare and oversee fitness schedule and payroll.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Job Function 90%
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Fitness center.
- Orient, train and supervise Personal Trainers, Fitness Instructors and Fitness Associates.
- Work with General Manager to create, establish and manage new Fitness programs.
- Act as coordinator for personal training program.
- Work with Membership Sales Department to “onboard” new members.
- Coordinate and monitor Fitness staff adherence to established customer service standards.
- Work with facilities department to monitor and improve upon safety / emergency procedures, incident reports, and daily schedule.
- Act as Manager on Duty as needed.
Other 10%
- Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, preferred.
- Current Personal Training and/or Group Fitness certifications required.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Must have previous fitness background with experience in a fitness facility or community center in a customer service-related position.
- Excellent inter-personal, supervisory, and leadership skills.
- Strong administrative skills, enthusiastic, dynamic demeanor, and a team player.
- Previous membership sales experience a plus.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
