JOB DESCRIPTION


As an FX Sales Analyst/Associate on the Corporate Derivative Marketing (CDM) team, you will strategize, market, and execute Foreign Exchange hedge solutions for U.S. and Canadian corporate and financial sponsor (i.e., private equity) clients. The role consists of a mix between flow-based execution and strategic, longer-term projects for clients. Client engagement ranges from daily calls or morning updates, to participating in broader more comprehensive discussions in person or virtually. The group integrates corporate finance strategy within various elements of Sales & Trading and partners with many areas of the firm including Trading, Cross Asset Marketing and Solutions, Debt and Equity Capital Markets, Banking, Credit, and Research.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Model, structure, market, and price/execute foreign exchange products (spot, forward, options, etc.) to corporate & financial sponsor clients throughout the day
  • Track FX market activity and JPM Research with a view to being able to update clients on market developments and prepare written commentary
  • Collaborate on presentation materials for discussions with clients on currency risk management. Participate in client discussions
  • Collaborate on internal projects and analytical work for clients
  • Work with broader client coverage team including banking, treasury services, and credit to address client needs
  • Work with trading, middle and back office functions to support client trading activity
  • Support activities of colleagues on the desk as part of a dynamic and collaborative team environment

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in the business
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to translate complex financial concepts into simple language and concrete action steps
  • Quantitative skills - must be extremely comfortable manipulating data in Excel and able to master several applications and complex products
  • Superior time management, prioritization, and multi-tasking abilities to juggle live transactions and daily tasks
  • Attention to detail is critical with confident presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment and be able to absorb information quickly and accurately
  • A desire to succeed individually and be a member of a winning team

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Technology experience with Excel, PowerPoint and Bloomberg preferred
  • Embrace critical thinking, accounting considerations, and problem solving
