Outside Sales
Company Information:
A Midwest fluids handling sales company is looking for a full-time outside sales team member to market our world-class manufacturers to industrial customers. We have a diverse range of technologies including Pumps, Heat Exchangers, Cooling Towers, Mechanical Seals as well as other types of industrial process equipment.
The successful candidate will be involved in sales of equipment within the industrial market. You will be servicing established accounts and end-users, prospecting additional customers, and consulting with engineering firms within the territory.
Job Description:
Making outside sales and service calls to established end-users within a variety of industrial markets
Serve customers by identifying their needs; engineering solutions of products, equipment, systems, and services. Develop customers equipment knowledge by providing technical information and training.
Supporting other outside sales staff effectively with minimal supervision. Prepare and assist in written proposals on equipment and coordinate quotes and existing orders. Work effectively as a member of a supportive sales team.
Identify current and future customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with customers. Gains customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operations improvements.
Provide technical and engineering information for customers concerning products, services, and/or equipment.
Prospecting and establishing new accounts across multiple industrial markets. Service accounts by phone and email.
Conferring with management and technical support staff.
Using and maintaining digital email, navigation software, CRM, and opportunity-tracking systems on a regular basis.
Minimum Skills/Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Problem solving, Mechanical aptitude
Ability to prioritize and complete projects based on changing specifications and timelines
Attention to Detail
Equipment and Systems Analysis
Strong Computer skills
Innovation
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical sales experience in the industrial market is a plus
Bachelor degree in business, marketing, engineering, or related field recommended
Additional Info:
Normal office hours are 8a-4:30p, M-F.
Time equally split between day travel, overnight travel, and office time.
