Sales and Logistics Coordinator

PURPOSE:
Responds to customer & sales representative inquiries by telephone and or email. Support customers, and sales, and manage dedicated accounts to provide the highest professional customer service to each customer account and sales member, while representing the Company. Prepare invoices and coordinate logistics for all finished goods shipments. Work directly with a team of customer service associates under the Customer Service Supervisor. Effectively communicate and work with other departments within the company.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Work as part of a Team, having responsibility for providing the highest professional customer service to each customer and account.
- Prepare shipping paperwork for all outbound shipments including international, ground, LTL, LCL, Etc.
- Invoice all orders before release to carrier or customer.
- Interact professionally with employees and vendors.
- Communicates with the shipping department to facilitate daily flow and paperwork.
- Enter freight claims as necessary and manage relationships with carrier representatives to negotiate the best rates.
- Support Sales and Logistics to achieve sales & shipping goals.
- Respond to customer inquiries by telephone and or email.
- Educate customers on products and processes.
- Provide quotes, orders & acknowledgments, invoices, and coordinate shipping & logistics.
- Review and assist in expediting backorders in coordination with the production team.
- Process customer warranties & returns.
- Understand basic credit and accounting functions.
- Support sales representatives with customer and account management.
- Maintain account information, notes, and activities in the customer database.
- Develop trusted relationships with our customer base and sales representatives, as well as industry knowledge.
OTHER JOB DUTIES:
- Assist in sales and marketing programs.
- Ensure office and personal workspace is clean and orderly.
- All other duties Perform all other duties as assigned including carrying out responsibilities, performing duties, using skills, and working in conditions necessary to perform all assigned tasks.
COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:
- Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to multi-task and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to navigate through a Point-of-Sale System
- Familiar with SAP B1 Preferred.
- Good Organizational and Communication skills.
- Motivation to excel and offer the best customer service in the industry.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 - 4 years of experience in customer service is required.
