Overview:
Adoration Home Health is currently seeking a full time Sales Support Specialist to help support our sales and marketing team in Middle Tennessee. This role is primarily remote, and will require a home office set up with access to high-speed internet. Responsibilities:
  • The Transition to Home Associate I (TTHA) has many responsibilities related to customer service, equipment and service deliveries in the hospital, and marketing related activities. This may include delivering medical equipment and supplies to patients in a timely and professional manner and teaching the patient how to use and maintain their equipment; initiating verification of patient insurance benefits; communicating the patient’s financial responsibility to the patient; and collecting any amounts due using Company provided electronic tools
Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for fulfilling equipment orders and assuring that equipment is clean, in proper working order and quantities are correct, delivery instructions are correct, and required paper work is taken to the patient
  • Delivers/Picks up supplies and equipment in a courteous, accurate and timely manner meeting the timely delivery goal for essential equipment
  • Understands issues related to the most cost-effective delivery method for Durable Medical Equipment ordered
  • Trains and educates patients and caregivers on use of equipment and answers any inquiries they may have about Company services
  • Informs new patients about their rights and responsibilities, whom to contact with questions and how to contact the billing department. Responsible for informing patients about patient satisfaction surveys
  • Responsible for initiating insurance verification process and informing patients of their financial responsibility
  • Discusses insurance coverage with patient and arranges payment of non-covered items
  • Able to process credit card and check payments using standard Company electronic tools
  • Responsible for obtaining signatures of patient or caregiver for each piece of paperwork including the delivery ticket, assignment of benefits, care plan, and waiver of liability
  • Documents date and time of delivery on delivery ticket and also lists any problems or changes to the order and updates driving directions if necessary. Contacts appropriate person if immediate action is needed, such as a new order generated
  • Responsible for returning paperwork, prescriptions, checklists and all other important documents to appropriate area in a timely manner
  • Responsible for returning dirty equipment to the closet and tagging broken equipment, including the branch name and brief description of the problem, for return to the repair area
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and servicing all equipment and making decisions on switch-outs
  • Notifies corporate person immediately if delivery cannot be completed
  • Coordinates with other departments to minimize delivery expenses and provide efficient service to customers
  • Responsible for accident free/injury free practices on a daily basis. Vehicle accidents, incidents and driver alerts are measured as part of the performance evaluation
  • Responsible for keeping onsite closet(s) stocked and neat, and maintaining PAR levels
  • Helps unload incoming equipment when needed
  • Responsible for communicating actual and potential stock shortages or outages to the warehouse manager in a timely manner to assure adequate inventory level
  • Resolves conflicts with Company patients/referral sources
  • Makes appropriate equipment-related decisions by reviewing all relevant medical information and facts, exploring all medical equipment alternatives
  • Engages in the exploration of new ideas and constructive problem solving with the marketing/sales team and branch staff
  • Identifies and communicates needs of Company's hospital and physician referral sources
  • Utilizes company communication systems to report and process requested information
  • Shares information and expertise with peers to enable them to be effective
  • Participates in team meetings as requested
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • High school diploma
  • Two years work related experience health care, Home Medical Equipment, customer service, delivery personnel with sales component or entry level sales
  • Exact job experience is health care organization, pharmacy that routinely bills insurance or provides Home Medical Equipment, Intravenous or Home Health (Medicare certified) services
  • Prior work experience in the Home Medical Equipment or health care is preferred as is work experience with direct customer contact is preferred
  • Valid and unrestricted driver’s license
