Komptech Americas is a leading North American supplier of innovative technology for the recycling industry. We are hiring for a Territory Sales Manager who will help us strengthen our customer relationships and continue our growth trajectory.
What you will be doing:
The Territory Sales Manager at Komptech Americas is an intelligent, independent, organized and self-driven individual who, with guidance from the Senior Territory Sales Manager, develops, executes, manages and reports on ongoing sales and customer support efforts within a specified regional territory. They have made themselves deeply familiar with the Komptech product portfolio, customer applications and waste and recycling markets. The Territory Sales Manager takes a consultative approach to helping clients understand their challenges and see new opportunities. They educate clients on best practices and technologies to help them achieve greater success.
The Territory Sales Manager has a passion for helping customers. They are constantly focused on delivering only quality sales service while self-prioritizing responsibilities and tasks to maintain a profitable and productive sales pipeline. They rely on their solid understanding of the B2B/capital expenditure sales process and communicate effectively and professionally. They efficiently utilize sales enablement tools including Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office products.
- Multi-state territory assignment and responsibility for a significant number of products and customers.
- Partner closely with Komptech Americas’ existing sales team to maximize sales and promote market expansion.
- Increase sales to end-users emphasizing technical advantages over competitor products.
- Facilitate stationary equipment sales while working closely with sales engineers and project managers.
- Develop strategies and tactical plans to achieve quarterly and annual sales targets for region.
- Analyze market data to identify new or expanded areas of business opportunity.
- Provide first-line product and customer support to become the main liaison between Komptech and customer.
- Work with existing customers to enable ongoing preventative maintenance inspections and equipment training.
- Utilize Salesforce CRM and other software tools to streamline the sales process, enable accurate reporting and improve customer support.
- Supply ongoing technical information and advice on Komptech product portfolio to customers.
- Provide machine demonstrations, set ups and customer trainings on Komptech line of equipment and components across a variety of applications to support sales.
- Effectively communicate customer needs, activities, opportunities, market needs and other relevant information to Senior Area Sales Manager and team on a consistent basis.
- Prepare and conduct promotional and marketing activities to support sales and customer support efforts.
- Extensive travel through Northern California and Nevada
What you will need to succeed:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is highly preferred.
- Energetic, highly motivated personality and organized team player able to easily form professional relationships.
- Formal sales training is preferred.
- Computer skills required.
- Hands on technical aptitude preferred.
- Able to develop a thorough knowledge and understanding of the applications of Komptech products.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to confidently convey information to both technically trained and non-technical customers.
- Professional presentation skills suited to present Komptech solutions and product differentiation effectively at various customer organizational levels.
- High-level interpersonal skills sufficient to guide and negotiate with potential customers toward recommended product solutions.
- Self-motivated, self-directed, and self-managed with excellent organizational and time management skills to perform productively with minimal supervision.
- Experience with a Customer Relationship Management system (CRM), preferably Salesforce.
- Inherent perseverance to consistently engage and follow up with open leads to convert and close them into won sales opportunities.
- Demonstrated achievement in sales, business development, or product management.
- Ability to research and absorb new, unfamiliar industry and product information with the ability to convert it verbally and visually into effective sales information or presentations that engage customers in our brand voice.
