Summary
Are you ready to become part of something special? Join one of the industry’s largest Material Handling networks as a Sales Development Representative! As a Sales Development Representative, you are responsible for driving your own career, we just provide the fuel!
Our program provides hands-on training in the following: inside sales, outside sales (Account Manger ride-alongs), operations (shadowing), as well as our extensive product lines.

Essential Functions
- Develop a thorough understanding of the company’s product lines, technical aspects, business cycle, and customer support. This knowledge will be obtained through the following non-inclusive list:
- Working as part of the Inside Sales team
- Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up, outbound cold calling, and email/social media connections.
- Maintain and expand database of prospects within assigned territory. Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate Account Managers for further development and closure.
- Understand customer needs and requirements.
- Update job knowledge by studying new product descriptions and promotions; participate in educational opportunities; adapt to changing technologies.
- Assist Account Managers with information gathering and quoting when necessary.
- Call for updates from existing accounts.
- Work with current Account Managers to include sales calls and visits.
- Work with Account Managers throughout the quoting process to familiarize with internal processes.
- Customer Service: Must possess and promote a “customer first” attitude and must be willing to go above and beyond for customers.
- Self-Development: Show initiative and drive to learn the product, process, and customers.
- Teamwork: Works well with co-workers throughout all rotations. Willing to help all team members and builds positive, productive relationships with co-workers in a short period of time. Predisposition towards prospecting and team selling - passing leads, intentionally helping teammates, including cross-functional and departmental networking
- Intellectual Curiosity: Push yourself on hard and soft skills training and development, continuously. Develop and deliver technically competent, customer facing product walk-arounds, product demonstrations and sales presentations that align with customer goals, challenges, and growth objectives.
- Competitiveness and Resilience: Demonstrated persistence and ability to handle rejection. Fanatical about understanding and executing the sales process. Proof that you create your own economy. Explain how failed sales attempts are not failures, but investments in the process. Hold yourself accountable, possessing leadership, motivation, and purpose.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1-3 years of demonstrated success in a sales position
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, listening and presentation skills
- Ability to “think outside the box” to offer new ideas, concepts, solutions etc.
- A desire to build your career. We see this role as a feeder for our future sales team and you should share that desire.
- A valid driver’s license must be maintained to apply for an Account Manager position.
