Sports and Entertainment Sales Manager
Fairmont Pittsburgh is seeking a dynamic and motivated Sports & Entertainment Sales Manager to develop profitable business by building client relationships and direct sales efforts.

What You Will Be Doing:
- Responsible for meeting and exceeding personal sales room night booking goals & call activity goals (monthly, quarterly and yearly)
- Responsible for identifying key SMART action steps for each quarter that will achieve booking goals
- Work with travel bookers and hotel departments to ensure collection and distribution of key information to ensure guests have excellent hotel experience
- Assist in planning and implementing strategies and action plans to increase business
- Must conduct active prospecting efforts to develop new business within new and existing accounts to generate long term success for the hotel
- Conduct best in class site inspections to showcase hotel product and services and convert business
- Entertainment of clients as appropriate to build and strength relationships
- Travel as appropriate to various industry and company related client events in key feeder markets
- Utilization of Opera Sales & Catering sales system in compliance with FHRI and Fairmont Pittsburgh standards
- Involvement in industry associations and local community organizations by participating in monthly meetings and committee role as appropriate
- Staying familiar with industry trends via appropriate publications
- Ability to think strategically about hotels niche in business community and where to pursue leads for all segments of hotel
- Follow up on leads in respective territory both by telephone and by written correspondence within 1 hour timeframe
- Participate in all required meetings including weekly sales meetings, morning sales, catering lead meeting) in on going brainstorming sessions.
- Participate in all FRHI sales events and trade shows, involves preparation of events, invitation of clients and facilitating of event
- Maintain positive relations with all Guests, Vendors, Colleagues and Global Sales Offices within respective market.
- Adhere to all Fairmont Hotels & Resorts sales standards
Your Skills and Qualifications Include:
- Three or more years of related experience, preferably in the Luxury Market. Knowledge of Sports and Entertainment Markets is an asset.
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree strongly preferred, ideally in a related field.
- Must be a clear communicator, able to confidently interact with VIP’s and Senior Executives.
- Must be computer literate and proficient in MS office and be able to fully utilize Opera Sales and Catering System. Knowledge of lead generation programs an asset.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
