Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced human resources professional that will focus on partnering with business
leaders in assisting with their human resources needs. Under the direction of the VP of Human Resources, this
position will primarily focus on recruiting activities within our non-exempt workforce as well as identifying skill or knowledge gaps among entry-level employees and develop training content in response to identified needs. This includes selecting training tools and delivery mechanisms based on the content and audience, and creating and maintaining course content, manuals or other training materials. This HR professional also coordinates guest trainers or subject matter experts and assesses the
impact of training programs by measuring employee understanding of the subject matter. This position will also
be involved in employee relations activities to support a workforce that has high levels of employee engagement.
This position requires an experienced human resources professional who is passionate about evolving our
human resources programs and practices into best-in-class status in our region and industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the recruitment efforts for our non-exempt workforce positions
o Partner with local universities, technical and schools and community colleges to develop a talent
pipeline
o Look to introduce co-op programs, internships opportunities, etc.
- Develop training programs and methodologies to significantly improve new employee development
o Conduct training needs analysis as a basis for designing training programs
o Create detailed learning paths for inside sales, order management and engineering functions
o Utilize technology for effective training delivery alternatives including programs that allow for
micro-learning opportunities, self-study, remote delivery using LMS tools, etc.
- Lead the new employee onboarding process
o Administer ECI University
o Ensure robust 30-60-90-day onboarding plans are developed and followed
- Lead the creation of a program for developing account management talent within outside sales
o Conduct training needs analysis as a basis for designing training program
o Combine rotational assignments with foundational and strategic sales training, utilizing internal
SMEs and external vendors as needed
- Develop metrics that measure the effectiveness of our training and onboarding programs
o Post training effectiveness surveys and competency assessments
o Competency checkpoints
o Shortened time to productivity
- Be a champion for fostering a high performance, highly engaged workplace
o Conduct employee engagement survey communication and follow-up action plans
o Conduct exit interviews
o Partner with leaders on employee development plans
Requirements:The Ideal Candidate:
- Has a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
- Possesses 2+ years human resources experience, including at least 1+ years of developing employee training programs and/or onboarding experience
- Builds relationships with external vendors and communicates at all levels, both inside and outside the organization
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality, discretion and professionalism
- Has excellent knowledge of MS Office products including PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel
- Exhibits initiative and interpersonal savvy
- Excels at planning and organizing
- Develops personal and organizational capability
