Job Description
Job Title: Customer Service and Sales Representative
Reports To: Sales office Manager
Summary: Supports the company's sales goals through good customer service and maintaining quality relations with customers by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Develops maximum sales potential out of customers through good customer service techniques, and knowledge of the company's products and services.
2. Applies knowledge of company products/services to efficiently process customer information, and responds to inquiries and complaints in a diplomatic manner.
3. Builds and maintains quality relations with customers, and increases volume of sales on a consistent basis through ongoing determination of customer requirements. Follows through with each and every customer from initial contact to shipping.
4. Contacts customers on a daily basis to follow up as well as to meet and surpass sales goals for the company.
5. Calculates prices, discounts and proposals to meet specific customer requirements in an efficient manner.
6. Remains current on market conditions regarding products, product updates and new technologies through available resources.
7. Utilizes company leads to expand customer base and follows up all leads promptly.
8. Updates customer accounts and promptly makes corrections and/or modifications to records to ensure an accurate customer database.
9. Traces and expedites late orders to ensure customer satisfaction.
10. Responsible for learning and cross-training the other job responsibilities within the company.
11. Ensures accuracy and attention to detail regarding customer orders, payment information, and any other information regarding care of client.
12. Ensures the most cost effective method of shipping to customers.
13. Assists in returns and replacement when necessary.
14. Communicates with warehouse personnel to ensure accuracy in regards to shipping, receiving and returns.
15. Works as part of a team helping fellow team members and double checking one another’s work.
16. Responsible for providing feedback on sales and marketing to the marketing team as well as product.
17. Maintain clean and organized work area, not limited to personal space.
NOTE: It is an expectation that all office personnel actively participate in value added activities once their primary responsibilities are completed each day. It is also an expectation that requests be made of the sales manager for such value added activities when none can be found.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and/or one to two years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office; QuickBooks, internet software and CRM software.
