Full description of the position

Position Summary:

As a member of the Tercero Team, you are responsible for maintaining our core values of Respect, Opportunity, Commitment and Empowerment while in line with the strategic plan of the company.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Generate leads through cold calling, networking, and referrals. Utilize inside sales knowledge.
  • Provide Rate Quotes for Formal and Spot bids.
  • Work with clients to ensure they are moving their shipments in the most cost effective ways
  • Direct the scheduling of inbound/outbound shipments to ensure most economical utilization of carriers based on service parameters
  • Ensure client’s freight is picked up and delivered in a timely manner using safe, reliable carriers
  • Manage all freight in transit by obtaining adequate updates from to monitor movement and ensure timely delivery
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients
  • Maintain Daily contact with customers and the carrier team to aid in negotiating transportation rates and mode
  • Complete and maintain all client records, records for tracking shipments, and accounting records

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Associates Degree or equivalent experience
  • At Least 2 years of Transportation experience Required.
  • Computer intellect required.

  • Frequent sitting and standing
